The von Bayern's (The Bavarian Royal Family) were great patrons on the arts. Among European aristocracy the von Bayern family differed from other royals in their populist tendencies. Through the creation of public beer halls and beer gardens as gathering places for all walks of life, they indirectly laid a canvas for public concerts. For the past 400 years the sounds of symphonies, brass bands and operas have echoed from the beer gardens in Munich's parks.
Join as Milwaukee's Florentine opera performs famed drinking songs and timely folk tunes
