Celebrating Our 9th Year
For those of you who were here in 2011, you no doubt remember when the referendum to form our City passed. It was a momentous occasion. I recall announcing to a jubilant crowd of supporters that November evening after the polls had closed and the count completed that the referendum to incorporate had passed.
I think back on that pivotal moment in our history and am amazed at all we have accomplished in just nine years. But just as important is remembering the core reasons for incorporating. Our community was under pressure to urbanize rapidly and without direction, as more and more large retailers, businesses, and companies saw the strategic value of locating in Peachtree Corners. Traffic Alert: Resurfacing Work Underway on S.R. 140
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has begun a resurfacing project on S.R. 140/Holcomb Bridge Road from Spalding Drive to Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.
Work on this state road is scheduled to take place from 8 p.m. - 5 a.m. Monday through Friday and is expected to take between 5 and 8 weeks. Please watch for intermittent lane closures while the road work is underway.

City's Finance Department Earns Reporting Award for 3rd Consecutive Year
Peachtree Corners was recently honored by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) with a Certificate of achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.
To earn the award the city’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report was judged by an impartial panel to meet its high standards of the program which includes that the report clearly communicates the city’s financial story to its residents and business community.

Register Your Security Alarm System by Aug. 1
Residents and business owners who rely on the Gwinnett County Police Department for protection must register their security alarm systems by August 1. This includes Peachtree Corners which contracts with Gwinnett County to provide police services to its citizens and businesses.
The county’s Code of Ordinances requires security alarm systems to be registered with the Gwinnett Police Department. Failure to do so may result in an extra $25 fee for each false alarm. Read More

From Farming Settlement to Technology Mecca, Peachtree Corners has a rich history
Long before the new city of Peachtree Corners was founded, the region, once known as Pinckneyville, was a farming community, dating back many years before such inventions as electricity and automobiles.
That history has been captured in the community’s first history book, Peachtree Corners, the History of an Innovative and Remarkable City 1777-2020. The 230-page coffee table-style book is filled with stories of long ago.

The city's free photo and video workshops are back. The Tytan Pictures' crew is returning once again to provide instruction on a variety of photography and video topics.
The classes cover everything from camera basics, lighting techniques and landscape photography to tips for advanced photographers.

Rules on Short-Term Property Rentals
To protect residential neighborhoods, the City of Peachtree Corners prohibits the renting of an individual’s home for a period of less than 31 days.
The City of Peachtree Corners also prohibits the renting of any portion of a residential property for any length of time. This includes pools, tennis courts, accessory structures, etc.
