Summer Learning Kits
For two meetings in April Twin Peaks Rotary Club set aside its traditional meeting format (a speaker and Q&A) and had members and guests assemble tugging balls, stick puppets and sensory bottles. Not something that all members of the club were used to doing.
Can you imagine Rotarians making components for five different toolkits for over 200 children? That’s what was completed!
Wanting to join in on the fun, the team from Southwest Research Institute created 75 build and color rockets and 75 space collages!
The kits include learning guides, providing parents with the tools to partner with their children and foster areas of development. Overall the idea is to continue learning outside the classroom and provide summer time fun for our kiddos!
Wild Plum is lucky to have the support of so many volunteer groups, this is one example of how our community gives back to our kiddos, thank you!!
