All-American Girls Professional Baseball League
"THERE'S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL" - JIMMY DUGAN
A free USA Women's National Team and American Girl Baseball Game is Aug 4 at historic Simmons Field. The AGB players will be sporting Kenosha Comets jerseys. The Kenosha Comets were part of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League and played at two locations in Kenosha, including Simmons Field. The story of the league is represented in the movie "A League of Their Own". Game Details>
Peacetree Music Festival
MUSIC, MUSEUMS, AND MORE
Peacetree Music Festival is Aug 4-5, Tribute Island Music Festival is Aug 4-6, Jerry Smith Farm Sweet Corn Fest is Aug 12-13, and HarborPark Jazz, Rhythm & Blues Festival is Aug 19. Museum Mash Up is Aug 20. This is a new, outdoor celebration of the hands-on activities, games, and events that make The Civil War Museum, Kenosha Public Museum, and Dinosaur Discovery Museum so unique. Another edition of Kenosha Art Market is also Aug 20.
