School Supplies

As in past years, Holy Family will buy school supplies in bulk and deliver them to the classroom for you. By doing so, we are able to take advantage of the cost saving opportunity of buying from one vendor. Please see the attached list for any supplies you will need to buy in addition to what we are purchasing for you.

Summer Reading Program

Holy Family homes are full of good books and strong readers. Throughout the school year, we support our readers, and over the summer we require that students maintain or even grow their reading skills by actively reading!

For incoming PK-1st graders, we encourage you to keep your children in a literature-rich environment and make reading a habit every day.

For students in grades 2 – 8, we build on this encouragement and ask students to select and prepare two books as a challenge of their creativity and thinking skills. These projects are presented to their ELA teacher during the second week of school.

Additionally, students in grades 4 – 8 may choose to use Summer Reading as a time to begin the year-long Lectio Awards Reading Program. This program encourages students to pursue a 20-book reading challenge during the school year. This program engages this age-group with high-quality, high-interest books. Awards, prizes, and recognition for this program are given each Spring.

Uniform Guidelines

FlynnO’Hara invites Holy Family Catholic School & St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School to please join us for our On-Campus Measuring Event on June 30th. Our staff will be available to measure students, answer questions about the uniform, and help you shop for the upcoming school year.

PLEASE NOTE: If you’re unable to attend this event, we recommend families get their uniform shopping done at least ONE MONTH before the first day of school to ensure your students have everything they need!
