From the President

I wanted to share with you that we are starting work on our 2019-2020 Policy Agenda, which will be the focus of our efforts as we meet with the Governor and his Cabinet, and the 150th General Assembly. If you have legislative or regulatory concerns, please bring them to our attention.

Legislative Priority

For the past three years, we’ve been following the appeal of the Delaware and Maryland PSCs to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to grant a rehearing of how a regional power authority (PJM) calculated the cost allocation to cover the building of a transmission power line across from NJ to the Delmarva Peninsula. On July 19, FERC announced it would grant the rehearing.

FirstNet in the First State

For years, first responders across the United States have advocated for a resilient communications platform dedicated to public safety. Now, first responders in Delaware and across the nation will receive a much-needed technology upgrade with FirstNet, the first nationwide public safety broadband platform.
