Volunteer Appreciation Picnic at Hilltop

FOAFH hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Picnic after our regular 2 nd Saturday workday on June 10. Instead of just recognizing a single Volunteer, this year FOFAH expanded the recognition program to include a special award for long time supporters plus awards for both large and small corporate supporters.

Ellie and Richard Binns are the recipients of the newly created "President's Award" recognizing long term commitment to Hilltop Farm. Ellie and Richard are among the founders of FOFAH, and remain two of the most reliable volunteers 14 years later.

Windsor Marketing Group was acknowledged for their support of FOFAH's fundraising efforts. Kevin Armata, WMG's CEO and Owner, offers valuable fundraising guidance and his team produces effective marketing materials for Hilltop programs and events. WMG also hosts a very profitable golf outing to benefit FOFAH every year.

Bill's Landscaping LLC was recognized for contributing their significant property maintenance skills to restoring the Hilltop farmstead. Bill Guzie's crews have removed trees, repaired lawns and installed turf, corrected a serious drainage problem, and provided snow plowing through out the winter.

Mike Mancini was honored as FOFAH's "Volunteer of the Year" for 2017. Mike comes up to Hilltop week after week to mow and rake almost four acres of grass. Mike and his daughter, Tina, are also regular volunteers at workdays and at events.

In addition to the heartfelt thanks of the entire FOFAH board and other volunteers, each honoree received a framed print of an original photograph of Hilltop Farm.
