As students, families, and communities head into uncharted territory, several local supports for engagement activities, food distribution, and other services are readily available. Below are free resources for you to explore.

VIRTUAL PARENT MEETINGS
Through tools that encourage and enhance human connection, OUR COMMUNITY LISTENS is fostering a society where care and compassion rise above indifference.

Class Dates and RSVP:
This workshop focuses on building a positive parent-child relationship. It covers topics such as how to play with your child, how to be child-directed, the use of praise and encouragement, and positive discipline techniques such as time-out and planned ignoring.

Mondays in June, July, & August at 10 AM

The Coronavirus Response Reading Program, a new initiative of the READ Association of Saginaw County, The Ezekiel Project, and the United Way of Saginaw County is a book delivery service designed to get books in the hands of our children with reading levels preK to 5th grade during this time of social distancing and staying at home.

CHILD CARE RELIEF FUND GRANTS

A grant program that helps child care providers cover costs during the COVID-19 state of emergency. The goal of the program is to help you stay in business and make child care more affordable for Michigan families. These grants are non-competitive and you can apply for funding in right now. There will be additional funding available in May and June.
