Jaidyn's Report

As my first site visit-packed summer comes to a close, I feel so lucky to have gotten the chance to see your programs in full swing over the past few weeks - and am already feeling excited to make more new visits and introductions next summer.

Sharing stories, pictures, and thoughts on my own experiences out in the field this summer has been eye-opening and truly inspiring. I look forward to working with our partner programs in the coming months as we continue to develop ways to expand the scale and methods of our support to best support youth services organizations' ever-changing needs.

As always, you can reach me by email or at 617-426-2606 (ext. 141) to discuss what you want out of our newsletters, advertise events, and update us on any parts of your programs that you would like to share. Summer may be ending, but you will still be hearing from the Summer Fund, as we plan to continue publicizing everything you do — not just what's going on in June, July, and August.

Building Speaking Skills

Debaters at Boston Debate League's Summer Debate Camp presented research, thoughts, and researched arguments on this summer's topic, "What is economic justice?"

Nature and Discovery

Aligned with the theme "Love Grows Here: Farming and Gardening", campers at Cambridge Camping visited a pollinator farm to plant flowers and deconstruct blossoms to learn why each flower has its own scent.
