The Summer Finale'

10th Annual Fuse Festival

Moments That Matter

Fuse Fest, is a kaleidoscope of what a beloved community looks, feels, and sounds like. It's what happens when you mix love and soccer, hope with Reiki healing; it’s when you combine interactive art with resilience; it's when there are three different stages, and all three, though different in genre, exude the same great positive vibes with something for everyone.

Norfolk Mayor Dr. Kenneth Alexander proclaimed Friday, June 3rd, 2022 as National Gun Violence Awareness Day. Fuse Fest and its partners echoed that message! Read More

We are a group of artists and cultural organizers based in the South creating a better world together. As Alternate ROOTS, we call for social and economic justice and are working to dismantle all forms of oppression – everywhere.

Purpose Park's

HIPTern - Holistic Horticultural Internship Program

Who are HIPTerns?

HIPTerns are teens from the community who help develop & maintain the gardens and the grounds at Purpose Park. They are role models for their community through their work centered around the Urban Garden at Purpose Park. HipTerns are becoming prepared to enter the workforce armed with new skills, credentials, and confidence. Teens With a Purpose Horticultural/ Agricultural Internship Program for Teens are “LEARNERS ARE THE CO-CREATORS OF KNOWLEDGE”. Along with the beautification of a blighted community, HIPTerns become teachers, leaders, and learners modeling the power of collective work, shared resources, and the importance of valuing every person as essential to the health and wellbeing of the body known as humanity. This program creates pathways for youth to shift from consumers to PRODUCERS able to effect change in their community and in the world, creating much-needed beautiful spaces, cleaner air, and food, they create peace, hope, and inspiration as they gain opportunities for prosperity and personal transformation.
