Yeah, the sun is shining and there are sparkly new trends to brighten your home.

Firstly though, why bother with a new trend?

Even if you're not planning a complete overhaul of your home, you can refresh your room with energy and vitality by incorporating some of these #gorgeous trends into your favourite room.

But, if you are planning a makeover of a room this summer then it's useful to know what's available on the high street and how the fashion is changing for interiors.

There are 3 important interior design trends to take a look at today:

1) Tropical
2) Vintage
3) Seaside

Let's take a look at each one...

There's a bounty of tropical that's inspiring and such fun. It will brighten your home with the fun factor and calm your nerves with cooling colours.

Look out for #gorgeous greenery colours, palm and cheese plant leaves splashed on your wallpaper, and pockets of pink flamingo flying into your accessories.

Vintage is a pure winner for any home this summer. With its #gorgeous sugary colours and relaxed style, it's so easy to incorporate this into any room for a relaxed and informal lifestyle.

Look out for pale colours with traditional patterns, vintage items perfectly styled and treasured accessories creating #memoriestochairish.

Oh we do love to be beside the seaside. It's one of my favourite places to relax and think.

As we're into the summer season this is always a huge trend in our homes because it evokes happy holiday  memories. Take inspiration from the seaside colours and textures to create your own haven of calm and tranquillity.

This summer, it's all about the stripes. Whether you have stripes on your wallpaper, stripes on your cushions or even stripes on your chairs... make them count and keep them simple.
