#TEDxLowellHigh
Alumni Speaker Opportunity

Saturday November 17, 2018
Lowell High youth are organizing a TEDx talk with the theme "past presents future" and they need speakers.

Any member of the Lowell High School community and greater Lowell, especially students, alumni (that's you!), and teachers are eligible to apply to be part of this incredible event to spark deep discussions and connections among peers and within the Lowell community.

Applications for interested speakers are currently open! The speaker application deadline is August 24.
LHS Students Intern at Project LEARN
Project LEARN is hosting two Marketing & Communications Summer Interns through the Career Center of Lowell's Summer Youth Program. Tiffany Tremblay & Laura Molina are both rising seniors at Lowell High from the Class of 2019.

Our interns have had the opportunity to give out books and information to Lowell kids and families at the Free Fun For Kids events at Boarding House Park, they attended a Greater Lowell Chamber Mixer at the Merrimack Valley Food Bank, learned about the Summer Robotics Camp at the Stoklosa School and so much more.

Tiffany said her favorite part of working at Project LEARN so far has been "working with kids in a different capacity than I am used to and getting to learn about Lowell Public Schools and how things are funded."

Laura's favorite part has been "being involved in creating opportunities for the kids of Lowell to get hands-on experiences with innovative programs and seeing the results go way beyond my expectation. I like being in an organization involved in our community and seeing how the process of taking ideas and making them into reality."

Both Tiffany and Laura bring different skills and interests to the table and we are lucky to have them.

ABOUT US
From mentors, advisors, guest speakers, tutors and more, the Lowell High Alumni are valuable resources for current students. The Lowell High Alumni Association, funded in part from the Cummings Foundation, is a collaboration between Project LEARN, the Greater Lowell Community Foundation and the Lowell Public School district.  The mission of the Alumni Association is to help its members connect with each other, to engage with the school, community and fellow alumni and to inspire future generations of LHS students by way of mentoring, advising and tutoring. We invite alumni to connect with each other, and find ways to work on new and existing programs within the schools to better the academics and the lives of all Lowell Public School students.
