“Legal Size” Paper (8.5” x 14”) Printing Tip:

·  Use either Printer B, or Printer C, in Print Center Room 218B. (Do not use Printer A, in Room 218B, for “Legal Size” (8.5” x 14”) paper). Additionally, you can use either printer located in Room 117.

·  Request several sheets of Legal Size paper at the Service Center (or posted on cabinet in Print Center)

·  Place legal size sheets in Tray 1 (Door on right side of Printer), before clicking “print”, in Lab Print/Paper Cut interface.

Please Do Not Use Disinfectant Cleaner on Study Room/Classroom Whiteboards - Use "Expo" Cleaner only!

Disinfectant cleaners like Clorox spray, or disinfectant wipes, will make the whiteboards basically unusable. Writing from "Expo" markers will not be able to be erased due to trace residue/film.

Please only use the spray bottles marked "Expo" on the bottle, to clean/erase Whiteboards. Doing so will allow the next user access to a usable whiteboard. Thank you for your attention in this matter.

Heavy Duty Stapler tips:

We've noticed jammed heavy duty staplers in the Print Center. This is due to misuse. Rest assured, the staplers are new and in perfect working order. If you need help using the heavy duty staplers, or any equipment, please let a Library Aid know, and they will be happy to assist. Otherwise, here are some tips for using the large staplers:

·   Do not staple documents thicker than 3/4 inch. Please consider and alternative binding method for larger documents. For instance, using the hole punch, and storing the document in your binder, or using a large binding clip.

·   Use the slide guide, to select the desired position on your document where you want the staple to be located, before actually stapling.

·   Press lever steadily, in one motion, with a moderate amount of force, from a standing position, for leverage purposes, in a downward direction, and follow through gently to seat each staple properly.

·   Do not use too much force, and/or pound/jam/bash/grind the lever at the end of the motion. Doing so will cause the staple to stick.

·   Do not pump/press the lever multiple times. Doing so will result in multiple staples fed out of the device, jamming staples into the stapler and/or your document.

·   If necessary, ask a Library Aide for assistance, or to staple the document for you.

·   Please be considerate of the next user. If you jam the stapler, please let the Library Aide know so that they can fix it.

*Pliers located at Service Center Desk for removing/pulling especially bent staples from your hardcopy document.
