News Release: Aaron Lawlor - Lake County Board Chairman is proposing a package of groundbreaking reforms to county government that would give voters the opportunity to decide on the leadership structure and management of their county government.

Illinois Senator Terry Link (Dist. 30) filed legislation last week that requires the county board chairman be elected countywide, starting in 2020. Currently, the Lake County Board Chairman is selected by county board members every two years. Lawlor is urging Senator Link to join him in proposing amendments to Senate Bill 0669 that would allow voters to decide.

TOI staff checks all applications for the required elements (letters of recommendation, academic transcript, etc.) before presenting the complete applications to the Board of Directors Education Committee. NETFLIX, ATT&T, ComEd, Nicor....
All of these companies and more are becoming victims to persons using their names and being involved in scamming.

Remember if you ever feel as if the person at your door is asking for pertinent information like your electric bill, gas bill, cell phone bill and you did not ask them to be there... DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION...

If you have not solicited any of the companies to come to your home or give you a callback, and you feel as if you are being scammed......  CALL the police.

Here is a great link to Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan's page on scams:
