Join us for our 50th Anniversary and Summer Learning Celebration on Sunday, June 12 from 11am–2pm behind the Downtown Library. There will be a book sale, with all book sale items at $.50 cents each to celebrate 50 years, plus a wonderful kickoff party with games, crafts and prizes for children in honor of our Library’s biggest annual event–the Summer Learning Challenge!

What do YOU want to see in a new Downtown Park? Take the Survey.
Redwood City Parks, Recreation, and Community Services is planning for a new park at the Downtown Library. The park will provide a family-friendly shared outdoor space for the neighborhood. Over time, the park will be part of a larger green urban recreational corridor that connects Downtown to the bay front.

Teen Book Club
Join us for Teen Book Club this summer at Cyclismo Cafe! Open to those in grades 6 through 12. We will be reading Heartstopper, Last Night at the Telegraph Club and Squire. All participants will receive a free copy of each book.

Join us for a hands-on workshop on quilt-making and quilters who sew patterns passed down for generations. All ages are welcome to this program celebrating the upcoming Juneteenth holiday.

Paws for Tales
Dogs love to hear stories! Read to a specially trained dog provided by the Peninsula Humane Society.

Gaming! Movies! Crafts! Food! Something different every week in the Downtown Library. For grades 6 and up.
