Brothers & Sisters:
I write this note to you from National Community Church in Washington, DC, at a conference for church planters. I am here at the gracious invitation of Michael & Stacy Smith, great friends to CARB. I have packed fresh inspiration and ministry ideas into my luggage to bring back to our growing church in Hoover, AL.
The past two Sundays I have been out of our pulpit, on vacation with my family and now at this continuing education event. I am grateful to Pastors Kipp McClurg and Scott Barnes from Vestavia Methodist for preaching in my absence, and while Pastor Jessica was home recovering from an illness. I know you were blessed by their truthful, encouraging and engaging messages.
We have launched an exciting summer of ministry, inside and outside our walls! In addition to our weekly ministries and special events, I know we are all excited about the much anticipated beginning of Phase 1b. Behind the scenes, our construction team is working each day with our architect and builder, to finalize contracts and plans for Phase 1b. We are excited that we now have a pulled and paid building permit from the City of Hoover! We will plan a special groundbreaking event for the church to gather on our new property as soon as we have the clarity around the timeline, later this summer.
I am returning from this break to our church and community with a rested body and mind, deep gratitude for God’s grace and favor upon our church, and excitement for the future. I look forward to seeing you all again on Sunday!
With gratitude & hope,
Pastor Nathan
