East End Arts names Wendy Weiss as Executive Director

When one has lived away from the area they grew up in for a substantial time, it is natural to seek out a new network upon moving back. That search led me to EEA as a Board member in early 2020. The pandemic was just beginning, and so the focus on making new local friends shifted to a focus on keeping spirits lifted. Working with Diane Burke over that time of great reflection made the decision to change careers easy when the opportunity came. I integrated into EEA's staff, the pandemic started lifting, and that network I was seeking began to materialize. Yet, it was all more incredible than I imagined. The pride in ownership of EEA's team coupled with the support of the arts-connected community has cultivated a unique organization that unites the North and South Forks and honors both inclusion and excellence. I am humbled to serve in this new leadership role and zealous for our next chapter. Together, we thrive.

The Most Fun Event of the Summer is Back

Please join East End Arts on Saturday, August 3rd at 6:00 p.m. as we celebrate our area’s creative spirits at the height of the most beloved season, summer! This tented event is hosted on the grounds of East End Arts’ campus overlooking the Peconic River and features a selection of East End wines, beers, and cocktails, bites from local purveyors, live entertainment courtesy of EEA’s Art & Music School, art, raffles, auctions, and fun.

Welcome the new Executive Director, applaud the $10,000 Linda Rie Cohen Rising Star Awardee, and enjoy an encore performance by Battle of the Band winners, Daydream. Funds raised support the future of East End Arts.
