Effective May 7, 2025, U.S. travelers must be REAL ID compliant to board domestic flights and access certain federal facilities.

Flying Domestically

As many of our NCSA participants are flying to their activity locations, please note that it is the member's responsibility to be REAL ID compliant.

Based on these public resources, anyone age 18 and over needs to have REAL ID, Passport or other alternative identification as authorized by TSA.

Visit the Department of Homeland Security REAL ID main page here: https://www.dhs.gov/real-id

Please review the REAL ID FAQ page here:

https://www.dhs.gov/real-id/real-id-faqs

Please review Acceptable Identification at the TSA Checkpoint here:

https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/identification

Due to the complexity of our activities, refunds are not available if you miss travel due to REAL ID requirements.

Federal Facility Access

Many of our NCSAs take place on or visit federal facilities. Cadet Programs and your Activity Directors are in the process of determining how REAL ID access may impact our participants.

Watch for updates from your individual Activity Director.
