PACIFIC OAKS is a community comprised of students, alumni, faculty, and staff, many of whom are members of working families.

*We are guided by the values of respect, diversity, social justice, and inclusion.
*We strongly disapprove of the current Administration's policy of separating immigrant parents and children who are detained while crossing the border.
*We oppose the separation of ALL families.
*We express deep concern over the traumatic impact of these actions.

We are demonstrating our support to  #KeepFamiliesTogether by wearing this green & orange ribbon. You can also support our social media campaign by re-tweeting, tagging @PacificOaks, and using the following hashtags:

"The thoughtless treatment of children and lack of awareness of the future implications related to their developmental trajectory has been most upsetting. Children who experience trauma have been shown to exhibit increased levels of mental health issues such as depression and anxiety, along with more insecure attachment styles resulting in fear and lack of trust... These atrocities must stop. I will not stand for them."

For those who are aiming to earn a master's degree, we would like to encourage you to take advantage of scholarship opportunities available to Pacific Oaks alumni and the EXCEL-LERATE program, a fast track to earn a master's degree.

Alumni Scholarship:   The Alumni Scholarship is awarded to Pacific Oaks College alumni who start a second degree at Pacific Oaks College within two (2) semesters of the date of conferral of their Pacific Oaks College degree, as it appears on the transcript.  Alumni Scholarship recipients receive $2,000, which will be divided equally between the first and second semesters of enrollment in a Pacific Oaks College master's degree program.  Students must remain in good academic standing and continue to make satisfactory progress toward their degree.

EXCEL-LERATE:   Pacific Oaks College recognizes that high-achieving students with significant experience may be ready for graduate-level course work ahead of the traditional progression from the B.A. to the M.A.  To provide these students with an accelerated path toward completion of their M.A. degree, qualified B.A. students who wish to proceed directly into an M.A. program may take up to two graduate courses from the M.A. program to fulfill B.A. degree requirements.  If admitted to the M.A. program, the courses may also be used to fulfill the M.A. degree.  EXCEL-LERATE students may complete the M.A. program in a reduced time frame and at a reduced cost due to the application of up to two courses to both the B.A. and M.A. degree programs.  M.A. courses taken by B.A. students will be charged at the bachelor's tuition rate.
