Greetings from Nourishing Generations!

This Summer, our chefs introduced colorful, veggie-forward recipes that were as delicious as they were nutritious. From young students discovering the excitement of preparing fresh vegetables to older adults sharing stories and learning new ways to enjoy seasonal ingredients, each class reinforced the power of food to nourish, connect, and strengthen our communities. Thank you to our participants, partners, volunteers, and supporters for helping us build healthier generations—one meal, one recipe, and one shared experience at a time.

Young Chefs' Academy at 1440 Multiversity

Through the month of July, 40 lucky students aged 7-14 participated in Nourishing Generations' groundbreaking collaborative pilot program with 1440. The Young Chefs' Academy marks the first children's program hosted at the Scott's Valley Multiversity campus.

Nourished by Nature

The spectacular setting and intensive schedule of the Young Chef's Academy offered unique opportunities for participants to learn the art of producing farm-to-table cuisine. Students harvested vegetables and herbs from the culinary garden located just outside the kitchen and explored the nutrition-enhancing processes of sprouting and fermentation.

Action Packed Fun at Live Oak Summer School

Hosted at Del Mar, the Live Oak summer school session in June welcomed children from all of the district's elementary schools. Nourishing Generations proudly offered our curriculum 2 days a week-- serving 50 children. The session was capped off in July with a district-wide farmers' market and fitness festival.
