Moms Adopting Moms

June Newsletter

Dear Moms Adopting Moms Community,

June is here, and with it comes sunshine, warmth, and the promise of sweet summer memories in the making with our families. Whether it's running through sprinklers, eating popsicles on the porch, or enjoying lazy evenings under a glowing sky — this season is a time for joy, bonding, and growth. We’re thrilled to share some truly heartwarming news from our community this month.

Three Beautiful Reunifications!

Please join us in celebrating three incredible mothers who are reuniting with their children this month. We are overjoyed to witness this part of their journey and couldn’t be prouder of their strength, determination, and love.

  • Heather Highfill
  • Daydrianna Hefner
  • Ashley Kindley

Their stories remind us of the power of hope and the importance of a strong, supportive village. Every step forward is a testament to the unwavering belief that families can be whole again — and we are honored to walk beside them.

As we dive into summer, let’s keep showing up for one another — through shared laughter, shared struggles, and shared victories. Together, we are creating more than just summer memories… we are creating a legacy of love, support, and second chances.

With love and gratitude,

The Moms Adopting Moms Team

Here’s to long days, warm nights, and families growing stronger together.

"I can finally say by early summer my girls will be reunited with me. It has been a long journey and I am so blessed that I met Christina and Mary who helped me navigate all of this because it was just so difficult... I can finally say that I see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is amazing!" Hear more from Daydrianna here...

Beach Party & Grill Out!

Summer is in full swing. If you need a break and something to do in August before your kiddos head back to school, meet us at Sandy Creek Park Beach for a fun grill out, great fellowship, swimming, sun bathing and laughs. Cost is $2 per person but scholarships are available. Food and sodas/waters provided. So gather up all your kiddos, bring your beach towels and chairs and enjoy a day out with other bio and foster moms. We would LOVE to see you all there!

Date: Saturday August 16th - time 11am - 3pm.

THANK YOU!!!

Moms Adopting Moms would like to thank Johnson Insurance for their generous donation to further our work with bio, foster & kinship moms. This is a wonderful company run by truly talented and caring individuals so contact them for all your insurance needs.

Our thanks to the management team at Costco for their latest grant awarded to Moms Adopting Moms! Keep up the good work in our community Costco!

Did you know that the great people at W&A Engineering chose Moms Adopting Moms as their Charity of Choice for 2025? We are so honored by this award and how their $5000 award will help us hire more bio mom peer mentors to help more families reunify. They are also gifting us a day of service with their full staff next fall. Thank you W&A Engineering for believing in us!

Not only did the North Georgia Foundation step up to be our fiscal sponsor when the IRS was dragging its feet approving our 501c3 but they also offer dozens of terrific courses that our staff and board members have participated with to keep us learning and growing.

Last week we found out we also won a $5000 grant so we can buy computers to loan out to our staff and moms to help them work from home or begin taking classes. We love the North Georgia Community Foundation and are so grateful for those that gave so we could receive this latest grant!
