Summer 2025

Seniors Scene

Enrich your life with us!

Issue 142

Greetings!

Summer is officially here! This will be the only newsletter coming out over the summer months. We will resume monthly newsletters in September. Please note, that program frequency will also reduce over the summer; read on for a complete summer schedule.

June was another busy month, we wrapped up our first session of Ukulele Together and what a fantastic turnout it was! Read on for a full recap. We also went on a group outing to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. We got our steps in as we explored powerful exhibits, learned from engaging stories, and were inspired by messages of hope for the future. Thank you to the museum for your generosity in making this visit affordable for all. Looking to get involved in our group outings? Folklorama is a great place to start! We will be doing 2 bus tours again this August. These tours are open to adults of all ages– come with your spouse, neighbor, adult child, or friend! Deadline to register is July 21st and only a few seats remain- Don’t miss out!

Our welcome back BBQ will be held on Sept 3rd. Friends, neighbors, grandchildren are all welcome to attend! MHRD will be setting up some games, and there will be delicious food and prizes to be won. Please register before Aug 29th.

As always, we provide programs and services to enrich the lives of seniors. For more information about what we offer, contact us today.

Take care,

Kristie & Margo
