PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Hello, friends! Our fall newsletter will be slightly delayed this year as we prepare to announce some wonderful news. Please keep an eye out, because this will be BIG .

Bowl-A-Thon Results

In the meantime, below are some stats from our first-ever Bowl-A-Thon. We could never have dreamed it would be such an enormous success! Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to increase the amount we’re donating to each Kansan in need of abortion care.

We could never have done this without YOU:

  • We raised over $54,000!
  • We had a total of 13 bowling teams, and each team raised an average of $1,780.96
  • We had over 200 individual donors
  • We had donations from 23 states, including Kansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin
  • We even had two donations from Swanscombe, England!

Thank you to the National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF) for providing so much support and assistance to our fund in the Bowl-A-Thon!

Thank you to the anonymous donor who MATCHED all donations made from March 25-31 and again April 12-15!

And THANK YOU from all of us at the Peggy Bowman Second Chance Fund to everyone who helped make this the most successful event in our history.
UPCOMING EVENT
Our next event will be a staged reading of the new play The Clinic , by Kansan Will Brumley, directed by Will Averill, the evening of Thursday, September 19, at the Cider Gallery in Lawrence. The Clinic is a Eugene O'Neill National Playwrights Conference Semi-Finalist, and has been playing to great acclaim all over the United States. All proceeds made by the play are being donated to abortion funds like ours.
