New, Limited-Time EV Promotions for Government Entities
Efficiency Maine is re-opening enhanced rebates for governmental entities. For a limited time governmental entities outside of Cumberland and York counties may receive special promotional rebate amounts of $12,000 (BEV) / $5,000 (PHEV) for vehicles purchased before August 31, 2021. Applicants must request pre-approval through the Efficiency Maine website before purchasing or leasing an EV. To request pre-approval, please fill out this form.
Grant Awarded to Southern Maine Transit System for On-Route Chargers

U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that the Biddeford-Saco-Old Orchard Beach Transit will receive a grant through the U.S. Department of Transportation's Low and No Emission Vehicle Grant Program for $1,224,531 to purchase two on-route chargers for their two electric buses.
Save the Date for the Medium and Heavy-Duty Electric Vehicle Webinar Series

On September 16th and 30th, 2021, several manufacturers including Ford Motors and Lion Electric will be reviewing what is already available and what will be available in the future for medium and heavy duty electric vehicles.
EV Lending Program

GPCOG is lending a fully electric 2020 Kia Niro to any individual or business who would like to experience an electric vehicle for up to a week at a time.
