With the summer season upon us, there are many exciting things happening at HPC! With your generosity and support, the 2021 Walk for Home exceeded fundraising goals, The REACH Project proudly graduated 17 dedicated individuals, and we welcomed four new members to the HPC team.

Affordable housing continues to be a challenge for our community. Allie, featured in a recent national story, struggles to find a year-round rental for her family despite a dual income. Many in our community can relate to Allie's circumstances.

HPC is at the forefront of working with government officials and community partners to bring new and innovative solutions to this crisis. By actively participating in and engaging with your town government, we can ensure safe and affordable housing for those in need.

Thank you for your continued partnership.

Be safe and be well,
Hadley Luddy
Chief Executive Officer

Congratulations to our
REACH Graduates!
On Tuesday, June 16, 2021, HPC held a graduation for 17 individuals of The REACH Project at our office in Orleans. The program helps individuals achieve long-lasting self-sufficiency by assisting them in charting their path to success through mindfulness practice, individualized coaching, and goal setting. Since 2019, 40 individuals have participated in the program.

Graduates have gone on to finish their degrees, pursue specific certificates for professional development and launch their own businesses.
Bridget and Jessica, two of the REACH participants, will receive a $2,000 stipend as graduates.
Jessica is a student at Cape Cod Community College. Her family’s income was impacted due to COVID and the stipend she received from The Reach Project will greatly assist in paying her tuition.

Bridget is a single mother of two children and was unemployed due to COVID-19. She enrolled in The REACH Project with the goal of starting her own bakery business. She used her stipend to help launch her business.
The REACH Project continues to grow thanks to several generous members of our community and funding from the Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation and Cape Cod Foundation.
Walk For Home Exceeds Goal
With your generous support, we surpassed our fundraising goal and raised over $54,000 for this year’s Walk for Home. Close to 100 participants braved an early morning rain to make the trip to Provincetown.

Thank you to the 14 members of the Provincetown Schools National Junior Honor Society for joining us this year with their heartfelt messages highlighting the importance of having a place to call home and why they support HPC.

We are inspired by the amazing spirit, commitment, and generosity of our 13 sponsors, 21 teams, and 300 supporters.

Neighbors helping Neighbors
Thank you to our friends at Cape Abilities for their weekly delivery of 25 bags full of locally grown produce. HPC is partnering with Cape Cod Cooperative Extension / Buy Fresh Buy Local to provide clients across the Lower and Outer Cape with fresh produce and non-perishable food this summer.

Recently, Case Manager Megan Dugas spoke with a single mom of four who was most appreciative of her recent delivery. “Good morning. Just wanted to thank you very much for the food. I already have a soup going in the crockpot. All my kids love veggie and bean soup, and it is great for a couple of meals, so we really appreciate it. Thank you.”
