Summer Youth Opportunities
Here is what we worked out in our parent meeting on Sunday night: We are going to offer Montreat for High School, the Montreat Middle School Conference, and a joint middle/high school mission trip!
After looking this over, let me know what questions you have. We only have about a month to decide who is going on the mission trip because we have to get on the calendar of the organization we are attending...they are filling up fast!
Sign up deadlines with $100 deposit due: December 11 for the mission trip; February 12 for the Montreat conferences.
The church will cover the cost for chaperones, transportation, and $100 per person for the Montreat Middle School Conference and the YouthWorks Mission Trip. If you attend both conferences we will cover half of each conference. We are already paying for the housing and meals for the Montreat High School Conference which is why we are not reducing that fee by another $100.
Youth Conferences
Montreat Youth Conference (High school: rising 9th grade through graduated Seniors), Montreat, NC
June 11-17, 2023; your cost $305 before March 15, $355 after March 15.

Montreat Middle School Conference (for youth who have completed fifth, sixth, seventh, or eighth grade by summer 2023) at Maryville College, Maryville, TN; your cost $330 due by March 15.

Mission Trip for combined High School and Middle School
YouthWorks (completed 6th grade in the spring of 2023 through seniors who have graduated in the spring of 2023) work at various service agencies such as food banks, clothing closets, housing nonprofits, summer children’s camps, painting, yard work, minor home repairs; location options: 1st choice: Blue Ridge Mountains (Rutherford County) NC (your cost $299), 2nd choice: Charleston, WV (your cost $284), July 9-14;
