On the first Friday of each month, the Jefferson School City Center celebrates two resident organizations to shed light on their impact in our community.
Pearl Island an Vu Noodles  have opened up shop at the Jefferson School City Center ! Delicious Caribbean Cuisine and Vegetarian & Vegan Vietnamese Specialties now serving lunch *every* weekday from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM.

The Trailblazer program is a partnership between City of Promise and the Jefferson School African American Heritage Center. Students selected to become Trailblazers will be museum guides for tours of the Jefferson School's historical and contemporary exhibitions this summer.

Juneteenth 2017 Celebration
Friday and Saturday, June 16th & 17th, 6 PM - 9 PM

The celebration will include a tribute to local elders that have made outstanding contributions to the community or have left an amazing legacy. You are invited to help us honor them. Hear the historical presentation about the Underground Railroad by Anthony Cohen. T here will be live performances and music provided by DJ Flatline at the party on the lawn Saturday.

Have you ever wanted to help out a stiff and sore relative or friend, but just didn’t know how to go about it properly? In just 3 classes, this program will introduce you to massage therapy concepts and specific techniques that you can use to help friends and family members at home safely and effectively. Course will be on Saturday afternoons, 2pm – 3:30pm starting June 10th, 17th and 24th.  S eries is Pay-What-You-Can $15-$60.
