Summer Programs Online

View the Summer 2022 online version of The Oak Leaf. The activity guide is scheduled to be delivered to resident households beginning April 18. Resident registration begins May 2. Open registration is May 9.

Summer programs and activities are also available for viewing on the registration site.

Arbor Day Tree Giveaway

In conjunction with Arbor Day, the Plainfield Park District is giving away approximately 200 trees (Overcup Oak and Red Oak) between noon and 2 p.m., April 29 at Bott Community Park, 24550 W. Renwick Road.

The giveaway will occur in the north parking lot. Up to two saplings are allowed per person. Trees were donated by Living Lands & Waters.

Summer Camp Registration is Open!

Registration for summer camps is now open! Plainfield Park District summer camps are recreational in nature and revolve around providing opportunities to learn new skills, make new friends, and build confidence. Before and after camp options are also available.

Spring Fishing Derby

Bring your bait, bucket and fishing pole to Van Horn Woods Pond and test your angling skills at the Annual Spring Fishing Derby 9 to 10:30 a.m., April 23! Awards are given for the longest fish in each age division (3-5, 6-8, 9-13). Participants are entered into a raffle when they sign in. Winners must be present. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Event takes place rain or shine. Please dress appropriately.
