Get ready to Unearth a Story this summer! It all begins on June 8 with exciting events and self-paced reading fun for everyone—children, teens, and adults!
Why Summer Reading Program? We believe summer learning matters. We want to prevent the summer slide by providing high quality programming to encourage the completion of summer reading challenges for learners of all ages.
Join the fun at free events this summer and keep reading to learn more about our special weekly programs for all ages.

In observance of Independence Day, all Summit County Libraries will be closed on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4.
We will reopen Monday, July 6 at 9am.
Due to the holiday week, we will not be holding kids programs June 29-July 4.

Registration is open for the 2026 Summer Reading Program using the free Beanstack app or website. Adults will register as the account creator and list any children under their account.
If you need help logging your reading or resetting your password - please reach out to library staff.

Reminder: Be sure to enter your virtual tickets for a chance to win the grand prize drawings by August 8!
Navigate to 'Ticket Drawings' on the Beanstack app or the website and click the various prizes to spend your tickets. Let staff know if you need any help!

Trying to use less technology this summer?
Pick up a paper log at any library to track books read from baby - 5th grade. Bulk enter directly into Beanstack and earn badges, prizes and virtual tickets for grand prize drawing or bring your paper log to any library and ask staff to log it for you!

Join the Adult Summer Reading Challenge!
Register here.
Complete 8 virtual badges by reading, writing reviews or completing an activity such as attending a program or using a digital resource.
Land on a surprise badge to earn some fun library swag and complete the program for a $5 Book Buck for library book sales.
Each badge earns tickets you can submit for a chance to win grand prizes including a massage, movie tickets, nordic center passes and much more!

Parents register yourself with your children as family members here.
For every 2 books read, complete a Beanstack badge, earn and collect special swag tags and enter virtual tickets for a chance to win a grand prize!
Read 16 books to finish the program and earn a gift card for a sweet treat from a local business. Keep reading to earn extra tickets.

For every 10 books read, complete a Beanstack badge and pick up a free book prize. Collect virtual tickets and enter them for a chance to win a gift basket of toys!
Read 80 books (8 badges) to complete the challenge and earn a gift card for a sweet treat.

Community Reading Goal
