Summer Reading Program Begins May 17

The Mead Library Summer Reading Program will begin on May 17, with registration opening that same day.

The program is open to all ages and offers the chance to win prizes and earn rewards for reading. This year's prizes include LEGOs, a Nintendo Switch, Fire tablet, TV and more!

We are also offering a new app this year to record your reading time and to register for prizes.

Please share with other parents and book lovers and help us promote literacy in our community and motivate kids to maintain their literacy skills over the summer!

Poetry on Air Podcasts Now Available

We now have podcasts available for our flagship Mead Community Radio program, Poetry on Air, hosted by Sheboygan's Poet Laureate, Lisa Vihos!

New episodes air monthly and we have more programs in the works. To listen live, download podcasts and more, visit our radio station page.

New Library App Coming in May

Staying connected to Mead is about to get easier...a new library app is coming in May!

The new Monarch2Go will provide easy access to your account, the Monarch catalog and more.

Library Meeting Rooms Re-opening May 3

Library meeting rooms are set to re-open May 3, with reservations now being accepted online or by calling 920-459-3400.

Rooms currently available to reserve include the Rocca Room, Public Conference Room and The Loft.

The Imaginarium will also be available for meetings in the near future.

Please note that the following safety guidelines will be actively enforced:

Proper mask wearing (covering nose and mouth) is required while in the library, including in meeting rooms, regardless of vaccination status
Physical distancing should also be practiced in meeting rooms
The Rocca Room (first floor) and Loft (third floor) are limited to 25 people
The Public Conference Room is limited to 4 people

Newspapers Available

Starting May 3

Newspapers will once again be available to read on the second floor starting May 3. Magazines are currently available to read and check out.

New Seating Areas & Charging Stations Coming Soon!

Window seating and charging stations will be installed in May in the Jerry Black's Cafe and alongside windows on the first and second floors.

Mother's Day Card Craft Kits Available

Beginning May 3, stop by the Children's Library and bring home a free take-n-make Mother's Day Card craft kit to help celebrate and honor the caregivers, nurturers and role models in your life.
