Happening this week at the library, online!
Week of June 29 - July 5, 2020
We have great news!
The Mattituck-Laurel Library will enter Phase 3 of our reopening plan on Monday, June 29th. The library is pleased to offer public entry into the building for limited in-library services with safety precautions in place, including time limits, social distancing and mandatory face coverings. Hours of operation will be Monday thru Friday 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 4 pm.

The following services will be available:

  • Open stacks with limited browsing time
  • Access to public copier/fax
  • Access to public printers, scanners and shredder
  • Four public computers with sessions limited to 30 minutes
  • Notary Service (by appointment only)
  • Senior Hours Tuesday and Thursday, 9:15 – 10:00
  • Limit of ten (10) people in children's room at one time
  • Lobby pick up service

This is a controlled “browse and go” phase. Adult patrons, for example, will not be able to use the library to sit and read; children will not be able to play with toys. The library has made several safety upgrades to the building while we were closed. Some of these are: full servicing of the HVAC system, installing touchless public bathrooms, and setting up hand-sanitizing stations and customized acrylic guards at all public service desks. With public safety our primary concern, we look forward to seeing you again.
