JAKE RECOMMENDS . . .
The Gentle Art of Tramping
by Stephen Graham
Written in 1926, certain aspects of this book are dated, such as the title. One would do better to replace "tramping" with "hiking," "camping," or simply, "being outdoors." The Gentle Art of Tramping offers many suggestions and guidelines for a good tramp, broken down in chapters. It is an amusing and fun read for anyone who has enjoyed the outdoors.
Genre: Adult Nonfiction

MPL PATRON SHARON RECOMMENDS...
The Measure
by Nikki Erlick
First, use your discretion for the book's language and other elements. Apart from that, this is a thought-provoking book I was surprised and touched by. It's the kind you remember long after you've put it down.
Genre: General Fiction
