Summer Youth Volunteer Opportunities

Orientation Sign-Ups Available

LARPD’s Summer Youth Volunteer Program is open to teens ages 13–17 looking to earn community service hours, gain leadership experience, and give back to the community this summer.


Youth volunteers assist with camps, sports, arts & crafts, and recreation programs, helping create fun and positive experiences for younger participants.


Required Orientation:

All new and returning youth volunteers, including CIT participants, must attend one required orientation to volunteer this summer.

Wed., 3/25: 4-5:30pm

Electric Eels Summer Swim Team

Registration Opens February 18 for returning members

Make a splash this summer with LARPD’s Electric Eels Swim Team!


This fun, recreational program helps swimmers build skills, confidence, and teamwork in a supportive team environment. Program open to swimmers ages 5-18. Season runs from June-July.

This interactive event is your one-stop shop to learn about various camps, classes, and activities offered by LARPD this summer. Meet instructors, explore hands-on activities, and register early for select programs. Plus, snacks, craft station, and giveaways!

School Year Preschool Registration

Opens Friday, March 9 at 9 am

LARPD provides part-time, play-based, child-centered preschool programs for children ages two (2) to five (5) years of age.


Our play-based programs reflect the integration of physical, cognitive, social, emotional, language, and self-help areas for the development of the whole child. Meaningful play encourages curiosity, discovery, and problem-solving, allowing individual growth and development. 

Valentine's Day Cards for Seniors

Let's spread some LOVE to the senior citizens in our community! 


This volunteer opportunity is to create "Valentine Cards" for the senior community. The cards will be handed out during the Senior Lunch Service at Robert Livermore Community Center, at Senior Services events/programs, and to participants in the Spectrum Meals on Wheels program.
