August is National Black Business Month

National Black Business Month can be traced back to the year 2004, when engineering entrepreneur Frederick E. Jordan partnered with the president and executive editor of the scholarly publishing company eAccess Corp, John William Templeton, to start this annual event.

The intention of the pair was to “drive the policy agenda affecting the 2.6 million African-American businesses,” in order to highlight and empower Black business owners all over, especially given the unique challenges faced by minority business owners. This stemmed from Jordan’s own personal experience of the struggle to gain financial backing and funding when he began his own firm in San Francisco in 1969.

Your Vote Your Voice

With local, state, senate and the presidential races on the ballot this year, it is critical that we all take part in the democracy of voting. By voting, you have a direct say in who represents you and how your community, state, and country are governed. Your vote influences policies on education, healthcare, the economy, and more. Voting also ensures that elected officials are accountable to the public. When you vote, you contribute to the direction of your society and make your voice heard in shaping the future. It is a vital way to express your values, opinions, and concerns.

Ohio voter registration deadline is October 7, 2024.

Cancellation of Excess Share Insurance

Effective September 1, 2024, Faith will no longer offer supplemental deposit

insurance (Excess Share Insurance or ESI) covering amounts in excess of

accounts to increase the amount of ASI insurance coverage available.

If you have any questions regarding this change in deposit insurance coverage

or the insurance protection offered by ASI, please contact us at (216) 271-7111.
