Earlier this month, business students traveled with Professor Hans Schumann to participate in the International Summer School program at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. This program is jointly hosted by Leuphana University, UT-Rio Grande Valley, LSU- Shreveport and Texas A&M University-Kingsville. It is held for two weeks with students attending classes given by professors from the four universities along with international management consultants. CBA Department of Information Systems Lecturer, Crissy Hinojosa, recently completed her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Information Systems (DISS) at Nova Southeastern University's College of Engineering and Computing. The 2017 commencement ceremony took place June 9th at the Don Taft University Center Arena on Nova Southeastern University's main campus (Ft. Lauderdale, FL). Her doctoral dissertation was titled "Organizational Information Dissemination Within Collaborative Networks Using Digital Communication Tools."  Dr. Hinojosa already holds a B.S. and MBA from Texas A&M University-Kingsville.

Texas A&M University-Kingsville College of Business Administration hosted its third annual Business Leadership Camp on Thursday, June 8. Students ranging from ages 11-13 attended multiple sessions provided by CBA faculty throughout the day, targeting entrepreneurship and the key steps in starting and operating a small business. 

An outing was taken to visit Kleberg Bank and attend a special session on money management and small business funding that was led by Kleberg Bank Senior Private Banker, Wilma Grover and Senior Relationship Banker, Mr. Carlos Reyna.  Students also received professional etiquette tips in introduction and dining from the university Office of Career Services Associate Director of Employer Relations, Lori Urbanovsky, during lunch. Thanks to all who participated and donated their time in making this year's camp a great success!
