The Auglaize County School Districts have worked with the Auglaize County Health Department to put together common practices for this school year. Read more about their plan here.

Summer Fun!

St Marys Community Public Library and Auglaize County Public District Libraries continue to provide Summer Reading Programming! Check out their activities, check out a book, or watch one of their virtual programs.

Other Summer Fun:

Activities to go: Each Tuesday in July, Wapakoneta organizations will be providing an activity kit to be picked up on Perry Street next to Anthony's starting at 6 PM. Activities are first come first serve and each week will be different! Next bag of fun will be on July 21st!

Parks and Recreation

Heritage Trails Park District has 5 parks throughout Auglaize County full of trails and nature for all ages. Learn more about them here .

Auglaize County Historical Markers: Did you know that there are Historical Markers throughout the County? Why not take a driving tour of the County and see them all? Check out Remarkable Ohio to see a map of all the markers and learn more about local history!

Rainy Day Project: We're still accepting cards and letters for local seniors! Write/Color on a rainy day and drop them off at the library when you go check out the Summer Reading offerings!

We're so excited to be part of the Wapakoneta Family YMCA! After the ribbon cutting on Saturday, July 10th we were able to show off our new office space on the facility's north side. At the United Way of Auglaize County we already work with 14 top-notch non-profits in the community and now we are partnering with another!

Thanks to our new neighbors at the YMCA as well as the Wapakoneta Breakfast Optimists, Abby Balster and Clete Muhlenkamp for helping us get our new space ready in time!

Summer Cooling Assistance

West Ohio Community Action Partnership has funds available for individuals and families struggling to pay high bills associated with summer cooling.

Residents who are:

60+ years old

PIPP recipients

Have COVID-19 or another documented medical condition

Have received a shut-off notice

May be eligible call

The following resources are recommendations for individuals and families who need assistance during this time.

Must complete a PRC application
Must have a minor child in the home (or be pregnant)
Must be below 200% poverty level income
Must provide a bill for the household

We're looking for help landscaping, delivering food boxes, sorting donations and providing summer meals. Please consider taking part in one of the activities here . We are in extra need of weekday volunteers for food distributions!

Free Little Library

Three Free Little Library Locations are now open in Wapakoneta! Check them out on Auglaize Street in front of Casa Chic, on Hamilton at the Wapak Waterpark or near the playground at Veteran's Park. There are also filibraries in St Marys including at the Kids Learning Place and Pantry Pride!

Feel free to browse, take or leave a book! And leave a note to say you "checked in."

Computer Access

Need to get connected? Select Auglaize County Public District Library Branch Locations will be opening for computer access for adults by appointment only. Call your local branch to see about hours and availability and don't forget exact change if you need to print a document!
