Greetings faculty & staff,

We sincerely hope you have an enjoyable summer term! This email is our initial installment of our planned S ummer Summaries . These are monthly bulletins to keep you informed of the latest updates, news and other useful information. Below are some updates from May.
Critical Update
Library Service Indicators
Recently, the Library Learning Commons began adding service indicators to the PeopleSoft accounts of patrons who have items that have been overdue for more than thirty days. Clicking on the indicator will open a screen displaying all of the patron's holds, which will list individual library holds, the amount of the hold (the cost of the book or other item), and the specific library to which the item belongs (below left). Clicking on the individual holds from this page will open the specific hold, which includes the same information as the previous screen with the addition of instructions about how the patron can have the hold removed (below right).

The primary goal of the Library service indicator is to encourage patrons to return their items. If students can neither return nor replace their item, we encourage them to pay via credit card through the QuickPay link at terminals located inside the LLCs. Students who can neither return/replace nor pay via credit card will be able to pay via cash at the Business office. Once an item has been returned/replaced/paid for, the service indicator will be removed by LLC staff.
