Description: 
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Conducting research and reports; receiving and resolving inquiries from constituents; attending meetings and briefing; and preparing policy memos
  • Working effectively with constituents, community groups, and elected and appointed officials. Analyzing a variety of complex policy issues
  • Canvassing or knocking on doors and constituent outreach to schools, business, organizations, and faith groups
  • Producing the newsletter, monitoring social media, and working on presentations and graphic designs 
 
This position requires the ability to travel and requires odd hours and a flexible schedule including some weekends and evenings. 

Internship is unpaid. 

We will assist to obtain college credit if applicable. 
 
Qualifications
  • One (1) year of experience in legislative/policy research or communications and/or advocacy experience in government affairs or community organizing and development.
