Food Drive at Virginia Square this Weekend!
Saturday/Sunday, July 13 & 14
AFAC will be at the Virginia Square Giant Food grocery store (3450 Washington Blvd) for a food drive! Volunteers will be on hand to collect donations from 10 am - 6 pm on both days. Summer often brings a dip in food donations, so please pick up an extra item or two when you're doing your shopping.

Volunteer News
Volunteer Spotlight: Summer Teens
AFAC is proud of our history of including teenagers in our programs in the summer. Our summer teen program allows for children ages 14-17 to help in our distribution process every morning for a week in the summer. They're learning about their community, food insecurity, and giving back to others. Though our program is full for this summer, we hope to continue to improve it for future years.
Volunteer Picnic Recap
We had a fantastic turnout at our annual Volunteer Appreciation Picnic in June! Thank you to all of AFAC’s volunteers who help us serve our neighbors in need with dignified access to supplemental groceries. Click here for a full list of our award winners and pictures from the event.
