Hello Camp Jeanne d'Arc Community,
Welcome to the CJDA Summer Updates! During the summer, we will send out periodic summer updates with blog posts and camp news.
If you are interested in sneaking a peek into days at camp, follow @cjda1922 on Instagram or Camp Jeanne d'Arc on Facebook.
Arrival Day is Approaching
This Friday marks the first day of camp for our 2025 season! Camp families are gearing up, getting packed, labeling clothes, and tracking down their blue and white face paint. First time campers might be working out pre-camp jitters (see our message to first time campers here!) while veteran campers are likely counting down the hours until it's time to head up to Chateaugay Lake!
Camp is Looking Fresh and Vibrant
Our arrival to Camp never ceases to disappoint! The lush vegetation, bright open skies, and shimmering Chateaugay Lake look better than ever. During the off-season, we had arborists assess the health of our trees and performed quite a bit of nipping and tucking. As a result, Camp's landscaping and tree coverage is neatly trimmed and most importantly healthy and safe for the arrival of our campers.
Camp Staff is Ready
The pre-camp checklist is almost complete including trainings about Camp history and traditions, mental health, dining hall procedures, waterfront procedures, fire safety, and much more! We are so happy that 2/3 of camper-facing staff are returners. This makes for a counselor group that is well-trained, mature, engaged and true carriers of the CJDA culture. They are ready!
Camp Activities in 2025
Camp is about having fun and learning skills. We are excited to roll out our robust program for campers! Here are some activities that the campers of 2025 will enjoy:
- Canoe, sail, swim, stand-up paddleboard, waterski, fishing, tubing
- Hiking, mountaineering, campcraft, horseback riding
- Dance, theater, arts and crafts, choir
- Archery, riflery, bbs
- Tennis, soccer, field hockey, volleyball, basketball, tetherball, golf
- And more!
Stay tuned for camp news, photos of camp and campers old and new, blog posts on Christmas, Wishing Night, Smugglers, Banquet and more!
Here's to an amazing summer!
