Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM) presents a panel discussion inspired by the publication of the new book  The Future of Public Space , part of the SOM Thinkers series. SOM is a storied American architectural firm founded in Chicago in 1936, designers of such iconic buildings as the John Hancock Center, Sears Tower, Lever House, the Air Force Academy Chapel. The program will consist of guest speakers in a moderated panel discussion.

Carol Eaton Soltis, project associate curator at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, discusses and signs copies of her book on the artwork of the Peale family in 18th- and 19th-century America. The book traces the family’s history and reveals how the Peales’ energy, innovation, and entrepreneurship paved the way for generations of American artists.

Sustainable DC Wants Your Feedback 
The newly released Outline represents the combined ideas of communities, working groups, District Government staff, and technical experts. Your feedback will be used to develop a full draft plan to be released in August.

You can read and comment directly in the draft Outline document  online  anytime  before July 15, 2018 .

The grounds at Dumbarton House provide a serene, tree covered outdoor space for this 60 minute all-levels vinyasa flow class that should be fun and challenging for both experienced yogis and yoga skeptics alike! Attendees should bring their own mat and must complete a waiver to participate. 

A $5 cash donation per person is suggested for the class.
