There is great excitement at Donna Marchetti Design as we launch my first wholesale Fall/Winter line.

My goal is to blend the traditional with the modern with luxury materials, timeless craftsmanship, and a contemporary feel. I believe there is a need to bring together high design and artisan handicrafts to the luxury fashion accessory marketplace and that retailers, boutique owners and galleries will embrace the inclusion of hand-dyed, handmade wearable art to their venue.

As with any work of art, my signature DM is on every scarf, to ensure that the utmost quality and care is involved in the creation of each scarf

We believe that "for every season there is a pattern. For every mood, a color." My love affair with bold gorgeous colors and vibrant patterns is still going strong.

Hale Farm and Village

Join me! Visit Hale Farm and Village on August 30 for the Made in Ohio Art & Craft Festival, featuring over 100 artisans, local food vendors and all that Hale Farm & Village has to offer.

The $5 admission fee includes admission to the festival as well as the grounds and buildings at Hale Farm & Village. Stroll through the historic village full of Ohio artists and food vendors. Sit down with a glass of wine or beer and enjoy the entertainment.

Our Ohio artists will be offering unique creations including: hand-dyed silk scarves, ceramics, glass, wood, furniture, jewelry, soaps & lotions, clothing, home d�cor, photography, candles and textiles.

So grateful to be able to share my work at some of the most prestigious and unique galleries around town! Fra Angelica is located at 5th Street Arcades, one of the historic arcades in downtown Cleveland. Owner and artist Linda Damiani has gathered a unique collection of quality art-to-wear. Representing American artists, she has recently expanded and redesigned the Gallery. You will be amazed at the art, talent and treasures that are as affordable as they are distinctive.

Wall Art

I am often inspired by nature and the desire to capture light and color. Silk takes color with an intensity that practically makes it glow.

Bronze Tree; 30" x 22.5" Materials: 19 mm silk dupion, silk dyes, fabric paint, colored gutta, metallic gutta, fabric markers

I wanted to play with simple geometric shapes - straight lines, circles, spirals, triangles - and varying textures. I built the piece with these basic blocks, adding layers of muted color and details using markers, paint and gutta. I used broad strokes of dark brown paint to anchor the piece and give it weight. Out of this grew an image resembling a tree. I purposely left gaps in the gutta resist that separates the tree image from the background in order to soften the hard lines and impart a feeling of antiquity and decay, like an ancient sheet of papyrus. The piece is meant to look both modern in its abstraction and very old and mysterious in tone.
