Phyouth and Midyouth: Summer Registrations

Summer may have just ended, but we're already thinking about summer again in the youth department! Any youth at PHUMC will tell you--there is no better way to spend that time than a learning or service trip with our youth group! Below you'll find the big trips and experiences throughout the summer we know you will love.

Registration opens for all summer programs on October 15th.

Please keep in mind, some of these programs will fill quickly!

Our full summer calendar with local dates will be released in the spring. We can't wait for summer at PHUMC!!!

We are excited to take another Leading and Learning Pilgrimage this summer for students completing 7th-12th grade. One of the commitments of the youth ministry at Pulaski Heights is preparing our young people to be faithful Christian leaders in a complex world.

May 28-May 31 we will be taking a road trip to learn about the history of civil rights and racism in the US. This will be a small, intimate trip of 13 students and 2-3 adults. We'll be exploring this history at nationally recognized museums, staying at local United Methodist Churches, and having tender and empowering conversations about how to be an inclusive and informed Christian leader in our own communities and schools.

OZARK MISSION PROJECT JUNE 7-12

Shoal Creek Camp

Current 6th-12th

Ozark Mission Project will be June 7-12th at Shoal Creek Camp. We are taking 7th-graduated 12th graders (so students who are currently in the 6th-12th grade).

Our 40 spots for OMP will fill quickly, so register soon to secure your child's spot.

Students in 5th-7th grade as of fall 2026 are invited to "dip their toes" into a summer mission experience. Each day we'll have a service project for half the day, and a fun activity for the other half of the day. 8:00 AM-2:30 PM on Tue-Thu, July 7-9.

We will have 30 open spots initially. We will open additional spots as needed if we secure enough adults to do so. Email hdoherty@phumc.com to volunteer so we can take as many students as possible on this amazing experience!

Youth currently in grades 10-12 are invited to apply for the Youth Guatemala Mission Trip. We will be selecting between 3-5 youth to attend the mission trip in Guatemala with the medical team. The role of youth on the trip is to learn from the medical team, and support their work in the form of physical set up, and working with children and families receiving care.
