CAMPS AND CLUBS FOR WEEK 2

Youth Enrichment:

10:00-11:30: Making a House a Home: What makes a home? How about designing a home? In this camp, we will learn how to make the simplest tasks seem exciting! Kiddos will also spend 2 days designing and building a cardboard home. It is sure to be full of learning, surprises and fun!

1:00-2:30: Art Attack: This will be a great way to not only create interesting and unique art pieces, but it also provides an opportunity to explore new ways of making art. All of the projects can be replicated at your own home but warning! IT MIGHT GET MESSY! Also, there will be SLIME! :)

1:00-2:30: Jump, Jump, Jump Around: Jump roping seems simple, right? However, there are tricks and games you can do to make this seemingly boring exercise a fun way to get your body moving - double dutch, long ropes, short rope tricks - we will learn them all! Students will receive a jump rope!
 Toy From Home Day
There will NOT be a regular Toy from Home Day scheduled this summer. Please check your child's backpack each morning to make sure they are not bringing any toys from home. We have plenty of toys here for everyone. When children bring personal items it can cause many different issues and conflicts. Thank you for supporting this choice! This includes Pokemon Cards!!
PEEK INTO WEEK 2

Lots of fun coming up! Be sure to ask what kind of WACKY SNACKS we have on Thursday! It should be sensational!!

We all go to the Minnesota Zoo on Friday! We will be looking for some WILD animals and learning some fun facts!! During time on site we will continue to learn about all of the spaces the students can choose, and discover what Behavior Expectations they can come up with for those spaces!! They are really very good at knowing what is responsible, respectful, and safe!

PEEK BACK AT WEEK 1
Oh my! It was a short but WILD week!! It was a wonderful time getting to know all of your children! We have settled into some WILDLY WONDERFUL BASE ROOMS WITH EQUALLY WILD AND WONDERFUL STAFF!! If you haven't had a chance to see some of our rooms, ask to pop in to see when you pick up or drop off your children. We have some creative and fun environments for your children to grow in!
Our trip to the Chain of Lakes Park on Friday was beautiful! We were afraid that the weather might be a little threatening, but the sun shone on us as we explored the playground, the trails, and the lake shore!
Good Things to Know
Staying comfortable no matter the weather:
Clothing and accessories:

Field Trip T-shirts! PLEASE! ALWAYS make sure your child has their field trip t-shirt to wear on field trip days! It is for their safety and staff's peace of mind. Our field trips are often busy with other summer groups visiting the same places. When all of our kiddos have matching shirts we can keep track of them so much easier than if they blend in with any and every other child present. Safety First! We do not have extra shirts for children who come without.

Suits and Towels : Please make note of all water days and days we have field trips to pools or water parks. Your child will be highly disappointed if they don't have swimwear and a towel so that they can join in!

Footwear: Tennis shoes!! Tennis shoes!! Flip-flops, slides, and sandals are a great summer shoe, but are NOT great for the activities we do in Extended Day. A big part of our day is being active! Field trips, the gym, and outside all require a sturdier, safer shoe for the walking, running, and exploring that we do every day! Please send your student with tennis shoes!

Hats, Sunglasses, Extra Clothes are always a good option!!
