Half of Your Leadership Team!

STEPHANIE KANE-BURBACK
I grew up in Illinois and moved to MN to pursue my masters degree. I met my now husband, and we live in North Saint Paul. We've got 2 kitties, a sweet pup, and a baby boy coming in October! In the summer, I love to lounge on a floatie in the lake and eat loads of corn on the cob! YUM!

JANE TUTTLE
I was raised in White Bear Township, on Bald Eagle Lake. I am a White Bear alumna. I am married, have 2 adult daughters, and 2 granddaughters (pictured on the left). I love animals and currently have one 105 pound dog and 2 black cats. All three are rescue pets. My favorite thing to do to relax is to read. Fall is my favorite time of year, and pizza is the best food ever!

WEEK 9
Someone is going to get PIED in the face on Monday! This is happening in the midst of our Water Day so that the mess is easily washed away! Who will be the lucky loser??
Tuesday is Pajama Day and Movie Day! Students may wear slippers, but we ask that they have tennis shoes for the gym and outside.
On Wednesday the older students (3-4) will be spending the afternoon at the Twins game. Sometimes we get back late, depending upon how long the game runs and how traffic is on the way home. Our calendar says 5:00, but we could be later than that! The only take-in beverage allowed is a purchased sealed bottle of water. No personal water bottles. There are $1 hot dogs so students may bring money to make purchases. Field Trip Shirts please!
Thursday is Woodworking Day. Every student will make a wooden trivet to bring home!
Friday K-2 are going to SideKick Theater in Bloomington to see "Fantastic Mr. Fox!" Field Trip Shirts please!

PEEK BACK AT WEEK 8
Week 8 started with an Ahoy Matey and a Yo-ho-ho with Pirate Day. The favorite part was a little pirate booty for snack time! Yum!
Everyone learned a little bit more about their HQ (headquarters) and their emotions. These activities are based on the movie "Inside Out".
Slime Day was a gooey good time! We made different recipes and compared them to each other! Slime is a favorite! Speaking of recipes, Breakfast Around the World Camp made some delicious dishes! We made an Austrian Egg Cake, French Toast, Scones from Great Britain, and Canadian pancakes! Yum!!
Jump rope camp for the younger friends was a hopping good time!
Taking a bus to Mahtomedi to see the play "Aladdin" was a great time. Everyone went and got to see youth perform on stage!
Battle Creek is amazing wet fun! The park has a huge water play area for our younger kiddos, and some challenging activities for those who are a little more experienced.
Finally, Tally's Dockside was super! The students had an opportunity to fish and have a pontoon ride! Then, there was a fun surprise of ice cream at the end!
Good Things to Know
Clothing and accessories:

Field Trip T-shirts ! This week: 3-4 on Wednesday, K-2 on Friday. PLEASE! ALWAYS make sure your child has their field trip t-shirt to wear on field trip days! It is for their safety and staff's peace of mind.

Suits and Towels : Water Day on Monday! Everyone should have a suit and towel. Please make note of all water days and days we have field trips to pools or water parks. Your child will be highly disappointed if they don't have swimwear and a towel so that they can join in!

Footwear: Tennis shoes!! Tennis shoes!! Flip-flops, slides, and sandals are a great summer shoe, but are NOT great for the activities we do in Extended Day. A big part of our day is being active! Field trips, the gym, and outside all require a sturdier, safer shoe for the walking, running, and exploring that we do every day! Please send your student with tennis shoes!
