On May 30,2026, COC held the 3rd Annual Festival. It was blessed with a beautiful morning that barely missed the clouds and rain later in the day. We had 35 volunteers that not only set-up everything but also ran the games, food, and prize tables.
The games included Cornhole, Tic-Tac-Toe Toss, Target Challenge, Duck Pond, Lollipop Toss, etc. Plus, we had 3 prize tables for 2–5-year-old, kids and teens, and adults. Prizes were aimed to bless our people: from box fans to food cards, to a laundry basket filled with laundry supplies, a bike, and even a sewing machine, etc. People were very pleased with these useful gifts. One gentleman won a blanket. He told the volunteer he was taking it for his brother who needed a blanket. The Volunteer helping him gave him one for his brother and another for him. He showed genuine appreciation to her and to the COC.
Another area was our Food table, supplied with hot dogs, granola bars, potato chips, and bottles of water. From youngest to oldest, everyone enjoyed the feast!
One of the BEST parts though, was the Magic Show and sharing of Jesus by Mel LaMar! Rounding out the morning were free haircuts by Ricky Johnson (Kingdom Cuts) and music by Neil Carlsburg (Too Much Fun D.J.). God blessed the volunteers and the guests who enjoyed the fun, food, and prizes!!

Mel and Hezekiah use humor and magic to gain the audience's attention. Then, they turn to the gospel message, which is their ultimate goal. Lamar (rt) helped Spanish speakers.
The Festival was intended for the whole family to enjoy together without cost to them. This little one really enjoyed her hotdog.
Ricky Johnson's mobile barber was a big hit. He is regularly the one of the last ones to leave the grounds.

and Downtown
Downtown may be changing, but the COC remains the same. There will be demolition of some buildings including our previous location to make way for the city to build. What does this mean for us? Not much at this time. Stay tuned for changes.There may be detours in the future, but we will remain open.
Your Donations Help
We can't do what we do without you! Honestly! If you don't donate, we have nothing to give. YOU gave 26,750 pounds of donated items during the first quarter of this year. We in turn, give a 13-gallon bag of goodies to 450 families EACH month.
Additionally, your donations also include the cash gifts which help to cover a portion of our monthly budget of $10,000. We use your monetary support to pay our expenses, as well as benevolence for food, hygiene, bill help or gift cards for your guests.
You are truly our life source. We cannot express our thanks enough. We can't do what we do without you.
Community Outreach Center
and Our Partners
We partner with organizations who support us in a number of ways. Big and small groups support our mission by giving in a variety of ways. We are always looking for church or clubs who would like to partner with the COC.
In May, Generations Church Neighborly sponsored a collection drive giving 158 bags of requested items. We also received $150 from ADK for personal hygiene purchases.
In June, Salt Church collected personal hygiene with items that were especially helpful for the summer months.
In June, The Weld Trust awarded us a Operating Grant for $10,000. They have been a huge help to the COC over the years.
Additionally, we have many monthly donors who directly support the COC regularly.
