PRIZES ALL SUMMER LONG

Summer Learning Challenge is off to a fantastic start! Kids can earn prizes all summer long just by reading, attending library programs and participating in fun learning activities. Prizes include LEGO sets, Squishmallows, science kits and more!

Be sure to turn in your reading log to be entered into our first prize drawing on Tuesday, June 30. A second prize drawing will take place on Friday, July 31.

And there’s even more to look forward to—at the end of the summer, all participants will be entered for a chance to win a $1,000 education scholarship!

SWEET SUPPORT FOR YOUR LIBRARY

Bring home a jar of Friends of the Redwood City Public Library honey! Harvested from the library's own beehives, each jar is available for $10, with all proceeds supporting library programs and services. It's a sweet way to support your library while enjoying a taste of Redwood City!

Honey is available for purchase in the Friends Bookstore at the Downtown Library (1044 Middlefield Road), or online.

Want more about the library bees? Download the Friends Honey Cookbook featuring community-submitted recipes and watch a short documentary about the bees created by local filmmaker Daniel Negrete here.
