Tuesday, May 14 at 10am. Mark it on your calendar because that's when registrations open up for our June summer events that require registration, like arts workshops, escape rooms, and coding camps for elementary and teens! (Most preschool events don't require registration.)

Please note:  Libraries are closed Sunday 5/26 and Monday 5/27 in observance of Memorial Day.

Summer Event Signups Start 5/14!
Many summer library events do not require registration, but some of our most popular events for elementary and teens have limited space, like mini-camps, escape rooms, arts workshops, and book clubs. 
 
These events fill up quickly, so check out the schedule
all summer events at all locations  HERE  - select your library and ages of kids to narrow your search. Registration begins 5/14 at 10am for June events and 6/11 at 10am for July & August events.

Summer Hours Begin at Some Branches 
The Shakopee, New Prague, Belle Plaine, and Jordan branches of the Scott County Library will begin their summer hours later in May. 

Belle Plaine, Elko New Market and Jordan will be closed on Saturdays throughout the summer. The last Saturday they will be open will be May 25. Shakopee and New Prague will be closed on Sundays throughout the summer. The last Sunday they will be open will be May 19. Hours are unchanged at the Savage and Prior Lake branches.

Need a library on a Sunday this summer? Savage will be open on non-holiday Sundays from 1-5pm.
Need a library on a Saturday this summer? Savage, Prior Lake, Shakopee, and New Prague will continue to be open throughout the summer on non-holiday Saturdays from 10am-4pm.

Readmobile logo
Readmobile Visits Continue in Belle Plaine!
The Readmobile will deliver learning, literacy, and fun to Fountain Park in Belle Plaine every other Monday through 5/13 from 3:30-5:00pm. Check the Readmobile page for more information and the summer schedule of visits.
The Readmobile vehicle and start-up collection were funded by the Diane J. Sachs Trust and a grant from the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community.

Teen Summer Event Signups Start 5/14!
Don't miss out on great teen events this summer - sign up HERE for June events - work side by side with an artist, scheme with your friends in an escape room, battle in a SuperSmash Bros tournament, compete as a team in the Nailed It cookie decorating challenges, and more!

Volunteer at the Library this summer
If you are 12 years old or older, you are eligible to volunteer at the library this summer, helping out at events and staffing the registration desk. Some libraries still have openings, so  contact your library ASAP for more information and to get an application.
