Hydrate!


Hydration is such an important component of your training. This time of year you will definitely feel the effects of dehydration sooner. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water throughout the day not just during your runs. Another factor in hydration is taking in electrolytes. As you sweat out electrolytes you need to take more in to help with the absorption of fluids to stay properly hydrated. Electrolytes will also help prevent muscle cramps and heat exhaustion.

Track Workout


When: Every Tuesday 6pm

Where: UofM field house track on campus

How Far: 2-3 miles of trackwork


Wednesday

Wolf River Run


When: Every Wednesday 6pm

Where: Breakaway Germantown

How Far: 3-6 Miles easy

Thursday

Tour de Midtown


When: Every Thursday 6pm

Where: Breakaway Midtown

How Far: 3-5 miles

We offer free half and full marathon training groups. All paces are welcome. We love beginners!


We gear our training schedule towards the St. Jude Marathon and Half Marathon in December. Of course you don’t have to be racing anything in particular to join us on any Saturday during the group run season for a long run with friends.


Most of all, this is a fun group to help encourage you to reach your goals. Whether you are looking to run your first half or full or PR, this group provides a great company, general guidance, and regular accountability.


We know group runs can sometimes be intimidating, but this group is truly for runners of all skill levels. If you have interest in running, this group is for you. So bring a friend, or make some new running buds every Saturday.
