Hit the Road with the MHLS Road Trip!

Visit the Mid-Hudson Library System Member Libraries & Earn Souvenirs!

June 6th through October 18th

Did you know the Mid-Hudson Library System (MHLS) is home to 66 unique libraries? That’s 70 main & branch library locations for you and your family to explore throughout Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Putnam, and Ulster counties.

Between June 6th and October 18th, we invite you to visit as many MHLS Member Library locations as you can – learn about the different programs and services each library offers to its community and earn souvenirs along the way!

START YOUR TRIP

Use this list of MHLS Member Libraries to find your local library and pick up a Road Trip Map. Get your map stamped at each location you visit. Earn souvenirs* by achieving visit milestones:

  • Visit 10 locations to earn a sticker
  • Visit all the member libraries in a single county to earn a special edition magnet
  • Visit 35 locations to earn a special edition tote bag
  • Visit all 70 locations to earn a special edition Library Card

*Souvenirs are available while supplies last, so be sure to start your adventure early!

Follow MHLS and your local library on social media for tips and tricks to exploring the area and enjoying libraries.

Have you tried the new Library App yet?

We’re excited to introduce the Mid-Hudson Libraries app! This mobile app connects you to your library account, checkouts, holds, the full catalog, and more — all from your phone or tablet. It’s an easy way to stay connected with your library on the go!

Some exciting features include:

  • The ability to manage multiple accounts within a single app for streamlined household account(s) management.
  • Quick links to digital library resources such as Libby, Hoopla, Kanopy, Transparent Languages, and more.
  • Find nearby libraries and their hours.
  • Search the catalog and place holds.
  • In-app notifications for holds, items due soon, overdue items, and account expiration.
  • And more!

To download, visit the App Store or the Google Play Store and search ‘Mid-Hudson Libraries’.

When logging into the app for the first time, click on the three bars on the right hand side (see image) and select ‘sign in’. A valid library card and pin are required.

Trustee Election Results

The Marlboro Free Library’s Trustee Election was held in conjunction with the Marlboro Central School District’s vote. Cheryl Werba received 550 votes and was re-elected to the Board of Trustees for a five-year term. The Library did not have a budget increase for the fiscal year 2025-2026, therefore a vote was not required according to Education Law.

Thank you to all who came out and voted!
